The story of the early church - the Acts Church - is one of enormous change, surprise, and faith. It is also a story of great hope. Life was hard as followers of Jesus were persecuted. And yet through it all, hope remained.
NT Wright is one of the foremost living scholars of the New Testament and the former Bishop of Durham in England. One of his most popular books is called Surprised by Hope.
